Responsibilities
A substitute teacher is responsible for maintaining instructional continuity and managing the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. Key responsibilities include effectively implementing the provided lesson plans, guiding students through their assignments, and accurately recording attendance. The substitute must ensure a positive, safe, and productive learning environment by setting clear behavioral expectations and consistently enforcing school policies. At the end of the day, a detailed written report must be left for the absent teacher summarizing class progress and any significant incidents.
