Branson Fire Rescue is inviting residents and local business members to take part in its upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training, a free, hands-on program designed to empower citizens with the skills and knowledge needed to respond during emergencies and disasters.
The CERT program educates participants about disaster preparedness for hazards that may affect their homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces. The training includes both classroom instruction and practical exercises covering essential topics such as fire safety, basic first aid, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster psychology, and more. The program concludes with a live disaster simulation, giving participants a chance to apply what they’ve learned in a realistic emergency scenario.
