Reviving Opportunity: Turning Idle Ground into Productive Growth
For more than 15 years, the 3.56-acre site at 648 Sunrise Drive sat undeveloped—a prime, highly visible tract along both north and southbound U.S. 65 that remained an underutilized asset until strategic vision and data-driven analysis came together to unlock its potential.
According to Alex Williams, Chief Operating Officer for Getting Floor’d, the transformation was made possible through the direct support of the Taney County Partnership:
“When we set out to revive the long-idle tract at 648 Sunrise Drive, the Taney County Partnership (TCP) was the catalyst that turned a complicated opportunity into a bankable, shovel-ready project. With TCP’s guidance, data, and introductions, we secured a shovel-ready, 3.56-acre commercial lot. We are now advancing a 26,500-sq-ft building budgeted to deliver under $100/sq-ft. With TCP at the table, we aligned stakeholders, validated the market with current labor and wage data, and propelled a dormant asset into a productive, tax-generating property for Taney County.”
A Catalyst for Community and Economic Impact
The Sunrise Drive project highlights what happens when local business leaders and economic development professionals work together. By providing critical data, TCP helped turn a once-idle site into a productive property that strengthens Taney County’s overall economic base.
“We’re excited to celebrate Getting Floor’d’s continued growth and investment in Taney County,” said Matthew Adkins, Vice President and Chief Economic Development Officer for the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber & CVB and Taney County Partnership.
Their expansion embodies the spirit of innovation, confidence, and community commitment that defines our local business landscape.
At the Taney County Partnership, our role is to ensure that local companies have access to the accurate, up-to-date data and insights they need to make informed, strategic decisions. By equipping our business community with actionable information on workforce, wages, and market trends, we help position them for long-term success and sustainable growth right here in Taney County.”
This kind of collaboration demonstrates TCP’s core mission: to retain, expand, and attract business investment that supports a vibrant, resilient economy. Whether helping existing employers reinvest locally or assisting new ventures in setting up shop, TCP is moving the needle for Taney County—one project, one partnership, and one success story at a time.
