College of the Ozarks

Provide individual counseling, crisis response, and outreach that supports student success. Work closely with campus medical staff and community providers. Confidentiality and empathy are essential. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver weekly counseling/psychotherapy and assess suicide risk. 
  • Triage requests, manage EHR scheduling, and maintain accurate notes. 
  • Coordinate care with medical staff and outside clinicians. 
  • Facilitate hospitalizations, medical withdrawals, and referrals when needed. 
  • Lead outreach, including NAMI on Campus and peer support. 
  • Supervise Clinical Counselors and counseling interns. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Professional or Biblical Counseling.
  • 3+ years counseling experience. 
  • Current professional licensure and continuing education. 
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, HIPAA knowledge, and clear communication.
