Counselor
Description
Provide individual counseling, crisis response, and outreach that supports student success. Work closely with campus medical staff and community providers. Confidentiality and empathy are essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly counseling/psychotherapy and assess suicide risk.
- Triage requests, manage EHR scheduling, and maintain accurate notes.
- Coordinate care with medical staff and outside clinicians.
- Facilitate hospitalizations, medical withdrawals, and referrals when needed.
- Lead outreach, including NAMI on Campus and peer support.
- Supervise Clinical Counselors and counseling interns.
Qualifications
- Master’s in Professional or Biblical Counseling.
- 3+ years counseling experience.
- Current professional licensure and continuing education.
- Strong crisis intervention skills, HIPAA knowledge, and clear communication.
