Responsibilities
- Drive Growth & Brand Excellence: Lead the strategic vision for the Food & Beverage department, creating unique culinary and guest experiences that elevate the brand, attract new business, and drive profitability. Champion innovative concepts that set the venue apart in the marketplace.
- Develop & Execute Strategic Plans: Partner with the General Manager to craft and execute forward-thinking financial and operational strategies including revenue optimization, expense management, and capital investment plans designed for sustainable growth.
- Innovate & Improve Continuously: Evaluate operations through an entrepreneurial lens, identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and enhanced guest satisfaction. Implement best-in-class systems and technologies that advance productivity and elevate the guest experience.
- Lead High-Performing Teams: Build, mentor, and inspire a dynamic Food & Beverage team with an ownership mindset. Oversee recruitment, training, and development while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
- Deliver Exceptional Event Experiences: Oversee F&B execution during events to ensure quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. Collaborate with clients and partners to customize offerings that reflect evolving tastes and emerging trends.
- Optimize Financial Performance: Analyze performance data including food sales, labor costs, and guest metrics to identify new revenue streams, enhance margins, and ensure long-term financial health. Maintain rigorous cost controls while investing in innovation.
- Champion Quality, Safety & Sustainability: Ensure all operations meet or exceed health, safety, and sanitation standards. Promote sustainable practices and responsible sourcing to align with modern hospitality trends.
- Set the Standard for Culinary Excellence: Regularly assess and refine menus, service styles, and presentation. Sample offerings to ensure consistent excellence and introduce innovative dining concepts that surprise and delight guests.
- Foster Collaboration & Partnerships: Build strong relationships across internal departments, vendors, and community partners to drive integrated success and create a cohesive guest experience.
- Engage with the Community: Represent the venue at civic, social, and industry events to strengthen community connections and enhance brand visibility.
- Champion Data-Driven Decision Making: Review and act upon customer feedback, surveys, and market insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred but not required
- Minimum (5) years’ experience in management level position in Food & Beverage
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Serve Safe certification
- Proven track record of improving kitchen and front of house efficiencies, quality and relative costs
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- People skills: Dealing with the public and team professionally
- Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be open to providing incidental or short-term support to other facilities
- This position will work with limited supervision and will require the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
