The Sign Shop Technician position offers the unique opportunity to help keep our city moving safely and efficiently. 
 

Check Out What You'll Do:

  • Create & Install City Signage – Help design, build, and set up street signs that keep our city moving safely, following federal MUTCD standards.
  • Get Hands-On – From making and repairing signs to installing pavement markings, trimming trees, and even snow plowing – no two days are the same!
  • Keep Traffic Flowing – Set up work zones, place barricades, and follow safety protocols to keep roads safe for drivers and pedestrians.
  • Mark the Way – Use paint stripers and other tools to install and maintain pavement markings, ensuring clear guidance for everyone on the road.

Okay, what are the requirements to be considered for this unique and exceptional role?

• Have one (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building or mechanical, construction or grounds maintenance tasks.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Pass the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam before your start date.
• Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November thru March.
• Be able to work Call Out duty, On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours as scheduled. This will include evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and a physical agility screening. 
 
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $20.06 per hour and will increase to $20.86 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.
