Patrol Officer
Description
Patrol Officer is a full-time, hourly position under the supervision of an assigned Squad Leader.
Limited Example of Duties:
- Routinely patrols City areas, maintaining high visibility in the community to deter and prevent criminal activity.
- Responds to calls for service, including the investigation of civil and criminal activity, citizen complaints, traffic accidents, traffic violations, domestic disturbances, burglaries, suspicious persons/activities, peace disturbances, animal situations, and other areas of misconduct or emergencies.
- Conducts investigations and performs special assignments, technical, administrative, and other duties in support of the Department as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Ability to meet the physical, mental, and other standards as established by law, regulations, and the department.
- No felony convictions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
- Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Basic Law Enforcement Certification.
