Job Description:
The Food Service Assistant plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in supporting patient care by ensuring high-quality food preparation and service throughout the hospital. Nutrition is a critical component of the healing process, and this position contributes directly to patient recovery by preparing, assembling, and delivering meals that meet quality, safety, and sanitation standards. In addition to food preparation and delivery, the Food Service Assistant supports daily operations through customer service, serving, cleaning, and maintaining a sanitary work environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, teamwork, and a consistently positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.

Education:

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: None.

Skills:

• Basic reading and writing skills with the ability to perform simple math.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
