POSITION SUMMARY:
The Activities Lead – Groups assists in directing the daily operations, sales, and customer service activities of the Group Sales and Activities department with a primary focus on enhancing guest experiences and ensuring efficient execution of activities and events. This role leads by example and supports the Activities Team with planning, organization, communication, and execution of group activity requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive guest experience for all customers.
- Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of group activities, events, and reservations including excursions, tours, clinics, and specialty offerings.
- Communicates with guests, group leaders, internal departments, and external vendors to confirm activity details, scheduling, logistics, and guest preferences.
- Assists with scheduling and assigning responsibilities of Activities Associates to meet guest demands and staffing needs.
- Ensures the Activities area and all equipment are clean, organized, safe, and well-maintained.
- Remains knowledgeable of product, activity offerings, pricing, and promotions to assist guests effectively.
- Participates in training, meetings, and team development efforts to maintain high service standards.
- Assists with inventory control, including monitoring activity supplies, equipment, and merchandise.
- Provides daily feedback and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participates in special events, group gatherings, and promotions as needed.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, recreation, or related field preferred.
- Leadership experience and supervisory aptitude preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong guest-service focus and the ability to build positive guest relationships.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May require exposure to noise, crowds, and dynamic environments.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision. Uses established procedures and independent thinking to resolve guest and operational needs. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments and support departmental goals.
