POSITION SUMMARY:
Groundskeepers maintain the exterior of the store and property, ensuring that landscaping, outdoor display areas, walkways, parking lots and other outdoor spaces are kept clean, attractive, safe and in excellent condition. This role supports customer service, enhances curb appeal, and helps create a positive overall experience for guests.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains turf and landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, edging and blowing debris.
• Operates lawn and grounds care equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers and other power tools.
• Performs routine landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, watering, and fertilizing.
• Keeps outdoor display areas clean, organized, and appealing by removing trash, debris, and hazards.
• Clears walkways, parking areas, and building entrances of litter and other obstacles.
• Assists with seasonal projects, clean-ups, and property improvement initiatives.
• Ensures proper maintenance and safe operation of grounds equipment.
• Provides prompt and friendly service to customers and internal partners.
• All other duties as assigned.
   

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
• Ability to safely operate grounds maintenance equipment.
   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping techniques.
• Ability to safely use lawn and garden equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong customer service focus.
   

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular walking, bending, lifting, and other physical activities related to outdoor work.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
   

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs duties under general supervision, using established procedures and safety protocols. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments and troubleshoot common grounds maintenance issues.
