Host - Worman House
Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Host – Worman House greets and seats guests, manages reservations and waiting lists, and provides a welcoming and friendly environment for restaurant patrons. This role ensures the dining experience begins smoothly with excellent customer service, accurate table assignments, and attentive guest communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets all guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- Ensures guests are seated in a timely manner according to reservation and waitlist procedures.
- Manages reservations, phone inquiries, and waiting lists efficiently.
- Assists guests with menu questions, seating preferences, and special requests.
- Communicates with restaurant team staff to ensure smooth guest flow and table turnover.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas.
- Provides excellent customer service and responds to guest concerns professionally.
- Assists with other restaurant duties as needed.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or restaurant environment a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and guest management processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs work under general supervision and uses judgment to make decisions that contribute to guest satisfaction and operational success.
