POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pool Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining all swimming pools, hot tubs, and water features to ensure safe, clean, and properly balanced conditions for guests. This role performs preventative maintenance, water testing, chemical balancing, equipment repairs, and general upkeep in accordance with company standards and health regulations.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains and monitors pool and spa water chemistry to ensure proper balance and compliance with health standards.
  • Performs routine inspections of pools, hot tubs, pumps, filters, and related equipment.
  • Cleans pools, skims debris, vacuums surfaces, and maintains surrounding deck areas.
  • Repairs and replaces pool equipment components as needed.
  • Maintains accurate logs of chemical readings, maintenance activity, and equipment inspections.
  • Responds promptly to guest concerns and maintenance requests.
  • Ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
     

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in pool maintenance or related maintenance field preferred.
  • Pool Operator Certification preferred or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
     

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly walks, stands, bends, and performs physical labor.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 lbs.
  • Works outdoors in varying weather conditions.
     

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Uses judgment in adapting guidelines to achieve desired results. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
