POSITION SUMMARY:
The Greenskeeper maintains the golf course turf, landscaping, bunkers, cart paths, and other outdoor areas to ensure excellent playing conditions. This role works with the grounds team to support daily course care, mowing, trimming, irrigation tasks, and other maintenance duties required for golf course operations.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs daily mowing and trimming of fairways, roughs, greens, tees, and other turf areas.
• Assists with irrigation system checks, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintains bunkers, cart paths, and course walkways.
• Assists with necessary turf care tasks, including aeration, overseeding, and fertilization support.
• Operates tractors, mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds care equipment.
• Inspects course conditions and reports maintenance needs to management.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and performs routine preventative maintenance.
• Provides courteous and professional guest interactions when needed.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards while performing duties.
• All other duties as assigned.
   

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience with turf maintenance or golf course operations preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with grounds equipment operation preferred.
   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Basic knowledge of turf, grounds maintenance, and landscape care.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and work ethic.
• Attention to detail in maintenance and safety procedures.
   

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Regular use of hands, arms, and physical coordination.
   

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision. Uses judgment to troubleshoot minor issues and complete maintenance tasks with appropriate procedures.
